Meet Your WETA Officers

Tom Moscovic – President

“I have been a member of WETA since 1995. I have been a building rep and the High School Vice President. For the past six years I have been your WETA president. I am also an elected member of the NEOEA Board of Directors and I currently teach American Government at Willoughby South. It is my responsibility to defend you and to protect the collective bargaining agreement. I take that charge very seriously and to that end, I am available to you anytime. Chuck Ferline – Vice President, High School

“I have been involved with union activities in the Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools for the past 16 years. I started out as a building rep at Willowick Middle. I then chaired the Supplementals Committee when Dennis Cook was President for my first taste of contract language. The following contract Dennis asked me to join the negotiations team and I have been there ever since. I am now the Co-Chair of the Negotiations Team. During this time, I was elected to two terms as Vice President of the Middle Schools and when I moved to North High School, I have been elected twice as the Vice President of the High Schools. On the next level I have been elected several times as a NEOEA/OEA Representative to attend two RA’s a year. On the National Level I have been elected five times to proudly represent you at the NEA convention. I have always tried to do my best for ALL of us and will continue to do so. Jim Schmidt – Vice President, Middle School

“I have been teaching in the district and a member of WETA for 27 years. I have been the middle school vice president for five years; before that I was a building rep. I serve on the audit, grievance and negotiations committees. I am at Willoughby Middle teaching eighth grade social studies. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.”

Cindy Kozak – Vice President, Elementary

“I am a fifth grade teacher of a co-teach class at Royalview. I have been a proud member of WETA longer than I care to think about! I am the co-chair of the Negotiations Team for WETA. Also, I am currently the co-chair on the Professional Development Committee for NEOEA. I am a past member of the Professional Efficacy CORE Function Committee for OEA. I am on the RttT Committee for the district and the District Leadership team as well. Best of all, I am a Nana to two beautiful children. Ann Grosz – Vice President, Special Areas

“I am currently a School Psychologist, working at McKinley Elementary School and Willowick Middle School. Prior to this, I was a special education teacher in the Wadsworth City School District, teaching Students with Specific Learning Disabilities, Cognitive Disabilities, and Emotional Disabilities. I have been a member of WETA since I came to Willoughby-Eastlake Schools in 2002. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.”

Kisha Wernet – Secretary

“I have been a member of WETA since 2001. I have been a building rep, NEOEA, OEA, and NEA representative and I have been your WETA Secretary and a member of the Negotiations Team for the past six years. I currently teach General and AP Biology at Willoughby South.”

Michelle Augusta – Treasurer

“I have been a math teacher in the Willoughby-Eastlake School District for 15 years. I have been the Treasurer of WETA for the past five years, earning OEA’s Outstanding Treasurer Award in 2007 and 2008, and the top honors of OEA’s Fiscal Fitness Award in 2009 and 2010. Other WETA activities in which I have participated in include Uniserv Representative for four years, NEA representative for three years, and OEA and NEOEA Representative for 15 years. I have also recently been appointed to the WETA Grievance Committee. I have been a member of the Credit Union for 15 years and was recently appointed to the Credit Union Board of Directors. In addition, I have served on the Credit Union Credit Committee for three years and the Credit Union Audit Committee for two years. Rob McFee – Uniserv Rep

“I have been a WETA member for 21 years and have been a building rep at North High School for 5 years. I have been a delegate to the OEA Representative Assembly for the last 5 years and to the NEA Assembly for 4 years. I also serve on the NEOEA Leadership Development Committee. I currently teach math at North High School and also coach football at Willowick Middle School and the ACADEC team at North High.”
